At Crays Hill Primary School we teach "Big Maths" to help support our children with essential numeracy skills.
Each lesson in maths is built up of a Big Maths CLIC session (counting, learn its, its nothing new and calculation) as well as other aspects of the national curriculum.
On a Friday, all the children take part in a Beat That! challenge where the children are timed to see how many number facts they can do mentally in a set amount of time.
In Foundation stage, children are taught "Little Big Maths" which makes maths progress in Early Years easy and fun for children to access.
Little Big Maths and Big Maths all follow progress drives which allow the children to see how they are progressing with their numeracy and what they need to do next.
