Memorable Moments

History of the Willow at Crays Hill Primary School.

The old, rotten willow tree at Crays Hill Primary School in Billericay is a beloved but decaying local landmark. Over recent years, the tree—which has stood by the school grounds for decades—developed significant rot, prompting local tree surgeons to heavily prune and manage the ageing wood to ensure the safety of the pupils.

Repurposing an old tree is a fantastic, sustainable way to build a natural seating or reading area for Crays Hill Primary School. We are transforming the trunk and large branches into durable, rustic outdoor furniture for the children. [1, 2]
